theme of Drip On

The chosen theme is FASHION.

• Mainly focusing on women’s shoes.

• Covers a wide range of styles.

• Partnership with different brands.

• Stylish yet easy app to use.

• Accessible to everyone.

wireframes

Wireframes were developed on Adobe XD after creating sketches of the envisioned app design. These wireframes would give me an idea of what the app layout would look like, and how I would make changes in order to make the design more user friendly and accessible. User testing of these wireframes would also assist in the further development of the final design.

envisaged aesthetic

An envisaged aesthetic board was created to visualise the desired aesthetic for the fashion app.

In this board, I included various logo inspirations, app design inspiration, icons, fonts, colour palette, and my wireframes.

logo design

The first idea I knew I definitely wanted to contain was a drip-like effect somewhere embedded in the logo. I began sketching up rough designs on my iPad before finalising the final logos. There were two logos created for the brand and those a combination mark and pictorial mark. These two logos were then developed on Adobe Illustrator.

Combination Mark

  • Used at the top of siteds

  • Emails or receipts

  • Social media

  • Main pages of app

  • Main logo used when representing the brand

Pictorial Mark

  • Shortened version

  • On Drip On products

  • Social media

  • Login screen on app

After finalising the logo designs, I was then able to create the high fidelity prototype mockup. Using Adobe XD, the mockup was developed through the use of the wireframes, envisaged aesthetic, and logos. It also consisted of free stock images and icons from online sources.

visual test

To the left is the proposed visual test seen in the pitch presentation. This animation only includes a visualisation of the app through wireframes. To the right is the high fidelity prototype with a more detailed animation showcasing most of the pages included in the app. These designs were made on Adobe XD and then transferred into Adobe After Effects in order to develop the animations.

brand guidelines

To add to the creation of the brand, the Drip On branding guidelines were developed. This is to communicate the overall feel and look, including the rules when representing the brand. This will help with the brand consistency.

These guidelines were put together on Adobe InDesign.
